Jordan D. Troisi, who will join the Department in the fall 2014 semester as a tenure-track Assistant Professor, has been invited to serve as a Consulting Editor of Teaching of Psychology. He will serve a 3-year term, beginning in January 2015.
Teaching of Psychology (ToPs) is the flagship journal of The Society for the Teaching of Psychology, Division 2 of the American Psychological Association. ToPs is the 1974 outgrowth of the Society’s newsletter first circulated in 1950. For the last four decades it has published many of the most important paedagogic articles: empirical research; professional problems of teachers; descriptions of innovative courses, demonstrations, student research projects. It is dedicated to the improvement of the learning processes at the secondary school, undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education levels. In recent years articles have been expected to include empirical assessment—direct measurement of the impact of the technique on student learning rather than mere student self-report.
Dr. Troisi has been an active member of The Society, including Co-Chair of the Early Career Psychologists Committee. He completed his doctoral work in social psychology at University of Buffalo, The State University of New York in 2012; the last three years he has been Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Widener University.
