1983-2011: completed my federal career as a VA psychologist at the OKC VA Medical Center with most of my career as the Program Manager in the Substance Abuse Treatment Center. I also completed the APA certification in substance abuse treatment and served on the faculty of the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center.
Other highlights of my professional career: I participated as a cognitive-behavior therapist in the major NIMH Collaborative Study on the Treatment of Depression. I have been an active member of our state psychological association, Oklahoma Psychological Association (OPA): I have served as president, on the ethics committee, and as membership chair twice.
After retiring from 37 years of federal service, I continue to be involved in OPA, church activities, and volunteer in an inner-city elementary school as a tutor. I also help my husband with administration of his private psychological practice. Hobbies include gardening and learning photography. We have one adult daughter who is "almost" on her own. 5/4/14
